Sciatica and Back Pain During Pregnancy: 3 Exercises For Fast Pain Relief

Sciatica

Sciatica and back pain is a problem most women will experience at some point in their pregnancy. From diffuse back pain, to sacroiliac joint dysfunction, to the lightening bolts of sciatica; the pain can be intense and debilitating, making the pregnancy experience a real “drag”.

Here are 3 simple exercises I will often show expectant mothers:

  1. Piriformis Stretch: Here are 2 exercises that will help to reduce sciatica symptoms. Click here for Exercises for Sciatica 1 and Exercises for Sciatica 2.
  2. Psoas Stretch: Helps to reduce low back pain as a result of a forward pelvis. Click here for Exercises for Low Back Pain.
  3. Quadratus Lumborum Stretch: Helps to self mobilize the sacroiliac joint. Click here for Exercises for Sacroiliac Joint Pain.

I don’t have sciatica problems but I do get a lot of upper back pain from to much time at the computer. Any suggestions for that.

I want you to know that I have been following the exercises in your
series of videos and have been experiencing such relief I can’t believe it.

Everyone was telling me to make an appointment with either a
chiropractor or my orthopedic doctor! I know the doc would have just
charged me and given me some pain meds and maybe some exercises to do!

This has been great and I appreciate you making these videos. I will
certainly continue my exercise program! Thank you.
