Sciatica is often misdiagnosed as being related to a herniated disc. And, while this may be the case, more often than not sciatica is related to a condition called piriformis syndrome.
In Part 1 of this series, I talked about the anatomy and diagnosis of piriformis syndrome. In Part 2, I showed you specific back pain treatment for piriformis syndrome. Now I would like to wrap up this discussion with an excellent video from Dr. Aaron Filler, a neurosurgeon in Santa Monica, CA. This video is an excellent summary of piriformis syndrome.
