Question:
If you looked at my MRI and xray, would you HONESTLY tell me if you think surgery is now my only alternative? Would you really give me a free phone consultation? I’m taking vicodin everyday, and want to quit, but pain is too much. I see a chiropractor 1 to 3 times weekly. Tried traction and inversion tables.

Hi Malton. I listened to your mp4 about back surgery candidacy and it was great to hear someone talk so honestly about the subject. I’ve had similar advice from my father’s surgeon who told me he sees MRI’s of people with no symptoms, that look a lot worse than mine. I have a herniated disc in my neck, 2 bulging discs and 3 osteophytic bars. My pain started with a whiplash type injury playing soccer although i’ve had numbness in my right thumb and forefinger for many years. I am now 41. In your opinion how long, if at all, can I expect to wait before my pain symptoms improve. Its been 8 months and the only thing that has helped slightly are the core strengthening exercises you recommended in another post. I no longer train in the gym or play soccer and my pain is reduced when I lie down. Thanks!
Here’s a link to a previous post i did on the 10 questions you should ask your doctor if back surgery is recommended. Hope this helps.
