Most people try to treat sway back without ever addressing the psoas muscle. This is a huge mistake and will only lead to frustration because nothing is changing. Obviously, stretching the psoas isn’t the only thing that needs to be done, but it’s the first thing that needs to be done.

    the best exercise for the back pain is once you are in position try to bend you’re your waist back and down as far as you can and stay in that position for a couple of seconds. Repeat this exercise a couple of times each day. This should help you get relief for your low back pain.

    Yes, you are correct but…

    The psoas must be addressed first. Attempting to stretch the superficial paraspinal muscles that are tight as a result of being adaptively shortened in response to the action of a deeper muscle is futile. If the psoas is addressed first, the paraspinal muscles respond quickly and the sway back can be better managed.

    I tried your exercise of the psoas muscle and found that it was indeed tight. BUT I also noticed that even kneeling in the initial position put a burn on the thigh of the leg that was kneeling on the floor. I am having much problems with thigh, hip and back of the knee pain during the night, often awakening me. I am trying to discover what exactly is going on, so I am trying different stretches.
    Are there some that are better than others?
